The Town Clerk's Office maintains all official records and
certifications, serves as the local election authority and registrar for voters, issues licenses and permits,
and collects a range of fees, including for business licenses and permits and real estate transfer taxes.
The Town Clerk's Office Can Provide Information About:
Hinesburg's tax year runs July 1 - June 30. Property tax payments are due in full
by Midnight on or before the 15th of November. If the 15th falls on a Saturday or Sunday taxes are due
the following Monday in order to avoid interest charges.
Dogs six months of age or older must be registered by April 1 of
each year by bringing the animal's latest rabies certificate and a spaying/neutering
certificate to the Town Clerk's Office. Three dollars from each license fee goes to
the State of Vermont for rabies control. The fees are:
