Friends Of Families	HCRC Lund Family Center
Friends of Families is a community resource for parents, children and families. Friends of Families sponsors various programs and events throughout the year, which are free and open to the public. It is just one resource for families available through the Hinesburg Community Resource Center (HCRC).

Playgroup When: Wed. mornings, 10:00am to 11:30am. Location: Hinesburg Town Hall Come play with your child in a large toy-filled space with crafts, snack, circle time and lots of laughs! Informal, drop-in. Ages birth through 5. Mother Goose Literacy Programs When: One fall program, one spring program. Location: These are take-home materials. Programs offer creative ways for parents and childcare providers to read books to their children along with follow up craft activities. 10 FREE books and an activity guide for all participants. Parents Together When: Tuesdays, 6:30pm to 8:00pm Location: Please call for information. Support group for parents with children of all ages. Childcare is provided. Nurturing Parent Program When: A 14-week program, meets once a week beginning in October and ending in mid-February. Evenings, 5:30pm to 8:00pm. Location: Hinesburg Community School Parents' group, older childrens' group and childcare group meet for dinner and conversation. Dinner is included (free). Kindergarten Connection When: This program is offered following Registration in late April/early May, and continues through June. Location: Hinesburg Community School Available to all in-coming Kindergarten students and their parents. A great way to get to know the school, the Principal, the Kindergarten teachers and also take part in numerous fun craft activities! Welcome Baby Brunch When: Held once a year in May Location: Hinesburg Town Hall. A celebration for families with children born during the year. Invitations are sent out to families. A different book is dedicated to each new baby and are then available at the Carpenter Carse Library for all to read and enjoy! Parent Workshops This is a collaborative effort with the Lund Family Center in Burlington. Please call for upcoming workshops.
