Friends Of Families
Friends of Families is a community resource for parents, children and families. Friends of Families sponsors various programs and events throughout the year, which are free and open to the public. It is just one resource for families available through the Hinesburg Community Resource Center (HCRC).

Playgroup Wednesday mornings, 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Hinesburg Town Hall Come play with your child in a Large toy-filled space with crafts, snack, circle time and lots of laughs for parents and their young children! Parent Education Programs Workshops designed to support parents covering a wide range of topics from child development, guidance in addressing behavior and positive discipline, parenting and relationships. Additional programs offer creative ways for parents to engage their children in literacy, math and science with free materials, childcare and dinner provided. Workshops are free of charge and vary in response to community interests. Kindergarten Connection Partner with the school to offer support to children and parents during this important transition. Welcome Babies Families of newborns enjoy a gift bag containing resource information and small gifts for the newborn. Parents can contact our Welcome Baby Coordinator to arrange for pick-up or delivery. Additionally, Friends of Families hosts a Welcome Baby Brunch each May at the Town Hall. This celebration honors families with children born during the year with a book dedicated to each new baby. The book is kept at the Carpenter Carse Library for all to read and enjoy Children’s Clothing and Book Giveaway A springtime event in which books and clothing are donated and recycled by families from the community. No money is exchanged and all are welcome to select books and clothing as needed for their children. Friends of Families is just one resource for parents available through the Hinesburg Community Resource Center.
