7:00 p.m. Annual Organizational Meeting of the Board

Election of Chairperson of the Board: " I nominate __________________ to serve as Chair of the Selectboard.

I move that the Board appoint the following individuals to the following positions, for a one year term:

· . Suzanne Kneller, Pam Durda and Sue Johnson as Fence Viewers;

· . Norm Smith as Inspector of Lumber, Shingles & Wood;

· . Steve Russell as Weigher of Coal;

· . Paul Wieczoreck as Tree Warden;

· . Barbara Brisson as Animal Control Officer; and

· . Allen Fortin as Constable.

Appointment of Town Service Officer I move that the Board appoint Robin Harris as Hinesburg’s Town Service Officer for a one year term expiring April 14, 2001.

Bonds for Elected Officials I move that the Board recognize the blanket bond of $500,000 per occurrence provided through the Town’s membership in the Vermont League of Cities and Town’s Property and Casualty Insurance Fund as the bonding instrument for Town Officials as required under the provisions of 24 VSA 832. School Directors and other school officials are covered by a blanket bond of $100,000 through the Schools property and casualty insurance program.

Designation of Newspaper for Warning Town Meetings Pursuant to the provisions of 17 VSA 2641(b), I move that the Board designate the Burlington Free Press as the newspaper in which Warnings shall be published, if necessary.

Approve Warrants: I move that the Board approve the warrants for bills payable as presented by the Town Treasurer.

Approve Minutes of February 21, 2000 and February 28, 2000: I move that the Board approve the minutes of February 21 and February 28, 2000.

 

 

Driveway Permit Application/Post Office/Commerce Street/I move that the Board vote to approve the driveway permit application of Barry Washburn a road cut on Commerce Street, Grand List Lot Number 20-50-79, subject to the terms and conditions placed on the permit by the Road Foreman and all State and Local permits governing the development of this parcel. This approval replaces the Driveway Permit issued by the Board on April 5, 1999.

Appointment to the Zoning Board/if you’re ready!

I move that the Board appoint ____________ to the Zoning Board of Adjustment to serve out an unexpired term which ends on 10/23/01.

Three candidates for appointment: George Severance, Andrea Bayer and Deb Howard

One vacancy: Nancy Waples, term expires 10/23/01.

Saputo Foods/Request for Temporary Wastewater Treatment Allocation/Increase from 100,000 gpd to 150,000 gpd. Also water supply allocation of 10,000 to 50,000 gpd.

Renewal of Liquor Licenses

I move that the Board convene as the Board of Liquor Control.

I move that the Board vote to approve the renewal applications of Ballard’s Country Store, Bruce and Robert Jolley (d/b/a Short Stop 17), KB Enterprises (d/b/a Lantman’s IGA) and Ethel Contratti (d/b/a The Pantry Shelf) for second class liquor licenses with licenses to sell tobacco.

I move that the Board vote to approve the renewal application of Two Z’s Inc. (d/b/a Pappa Nick’s Restaurant and Pizza) for a first class liquor license.

I move that the Board vote to approve the renewal applications of Raymond and Ruth Ayer (d/b/a Cedar Knoll Country Club) and Travia’s Inc. for first class liquor licenses with outside consumption permits.

I move that the Board adjourn as the Board of Liquor Control.

Request for Use of Town Hall/ I move that the Board approve the Town Hall usage request of Elise Doner for use of the Main Hall for a weekly dance class for children on Saturdays from 9:15-10:15, for a six-week trial period, subject to the terms and conditions of the Town’s rental policy.
