Hinesburg Planning Commission
August 13, 2002
Jean Isham called the meeting to order at 7:30pm.
Members present: Carrie Fenn, Will Patten, Joe Iadanza, John Buckingham, John Mace and Fred Haulenbeek (minute taker).
Absent: George Bedard and Nancy Norris
Attorney Joe Fallon was also present to represent NRG, Corp.
The Commission reviewed the recommendations and comments from our attorney, Roger Kohn, regarding the changes and refinements to the proposed zoning bylaw changes generated at our August 7 meeting.
The most substantial item was the boundary description of the new industrial district. The current proposal is to reduce the area of the industrial district by the amount of land (approx. 0.86 acres) that is associated with the deeded right of way (a 70’ leg extending from the bulk of the property to Rt. 116). Attorney Fallon communicated that this change was agreeable.
The Commission proceeded to correct typos and review language/ wordsmithing refinements.
It was moved and seconded to approve the proposed Zoning Bylaw changes and revisions with the refinements agreed upon this evening. The motion was approved unanimously.
A final copy of all Zoning Bylaw changes associated with this revision, the creation of a new industrial district, is attached. This document will also be available to the public in preparation for public hearings.
Public notice of the Zoning Bylaw change proposal will be sent to the Burlington Free Press for publication and will be posted at a number of locations in Hinesburg warning of public hearings and giving information on how to obtain a copy of the Zoning Bylaws, which include these changes.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:10pm.
