PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES
Approved July 16, 2003
Commission Members Present: Jean Isham (Chair), George Bedard, Nancy Norris, Fred Haulenbeek, Joe Iadanza, John Buckingham, John Mace, Deb Howard (left at 9:50pm).
Commission Members Absent: Carrie Fenn.
Also Present: Alex Weinhagen (Town Planner), Peter Erb (Zoning Administrator).
Minutes of the June 18, 2003 Meeting:
Deb MOVED to approve the June 18, 2003 meeting minutes. John Buckingham SECONDED the motion. The motion PASSED 8-0.
Announcements and Citizens
to be Heard:
Alex discussed recent and upcoming updates to the Planning/Zoning portion of the Town Web site. Alex has received application materials for the FY2004 Municipal Planning Grant. The application is due September 30, so the Commission should settle on a project by the end of August. The Commission discussed a variety of possible projects including: open space plan; village master plan; identification of future road network; identification of future trails, sidewalks, etc.; impact fee evaluation.
Town Plan Revision Project:
The Commission discussed its summer schedule for the Town Plan revision. Alex will finalize the schedule and e-mail everyone with their assignments and presentation schedules.
Zoning & Subdivision Bylaw Changes:
The Commission continued its discussion of draft 1 of the proposed Zoning and Subdivision Bylaw changes. Peter Erb was present to provide feedback and suggest additional technical corrections. The Commission completed discussion of the Zoning draft through section 5.3. The Commission will hold a special meeting on July 8 in an attempt to finish the draft 1 review. Alex will draft further revisions to the PRD/PUD section for the Commission to review separately.
The meeting adjourned at approximately 10:30pm.
