called to order by Chairman Lynn Gardner at 6:58 PM.
Review and Sign Warning for Town
Meeting 2003: Andrea moved that the Board include an article in the
warning regarding sustainable energy and the 10% energy initiative challenge,
seconded by Jon. A petition had been
circulated to have this item included on the warning, but failed to be
submitted by the deadline with the required number of signatures. Andrea stated that she felt the Board should
take the initiative to include the article on the warning. Jon stated that he would be in favor of
including the petition if it had received the required number of signatures. The motion was defeated 3 to 1 with Andrea
voting in favor.
The
Board discussed a correspondence received from ReAct 60, regarding a resolution
to withhold from the State the portion of the equalized property tax above
$1.10, pending revisions to Act 60. The
Board was not in favor of including this resolution on the warning.
The
warning was approved and signed as printed.
