The
Committee discussed upcoming village forum, i.e., current projects, how
communication is being disseminated to town residents. Would posters outlining
placement for traffic and sidewalk improvements be helpful?

committee is encouraged to answer questions pertaining to our group, etc.
Discussion

Karla has

and Jeanne Wilson on March 16th to discuss possible pick up and drop
off in Hinesburg
Committee spoke
in depth about the Master plan for village in regards developing a timeline, transportation
issues, walk-ability and safety:
Sidewalks:
which projects are already funded, if not, identify sources of funding.
Safety:
again lowering speed limit in village was discussed, also if traffic islands
with landscaping help slow traffic.
Location of curbing and on street parking
There followed significant discussion around
the change in road grade at Lantman’s intersection. There is some concern about
right of way and increased run off from change in grade. George and Dona both
experience quite a bit presently and hope to avoid an increase.
Developing
Village gateways: HBA has expressed interest in signage and landscaping the
gateways. We talked about grouping with them to develop specific plan around
approval and installation of signage and plantings.
Meeting
adjourned at 8:42 PM.
