Recreation Sports participant numbers – Soccer, Lacrosse, Tee Ball,
Farm League
Discussed participant numbers.
Pete recommends creating a field schedule for Lyman Park to show usage
from 3:00 until dark in the fall.
Would it be useful to have student projection numbers for HCS? Chris
offers to get this information.
Discussed importance of staying involved to identify areas to develop
playing fields.
Agreed that the Eddy Fund monies and a variety of sources i.e. grants could provide leverage in future
funding of this project.
Dog Park Request
Commission received a suggestion to build a dog park.
Commission discussed what is needed to evaluate possibilities.
What would the maintenance and costs for a dog park?
Carrie reports that she’s done some research

Chairperson Frank Twarog to draft a letter to Gerry Livingston, Chair of Conservation Commission
to explain possible sites.

Field budget increases $835 for a new soccer goal. Iroquois
Soccer Club will fund the other goal
Capital
Expense is budgeted for $10,000.
All
other programs are level-funded.
