Hinesburg Affordable Housing Committee

Meeting Minutes - September 2, 2009

Committee Members Present: Rocky Martin, Carl Bohlen, Bruce Wheeler, George Bedard, Dale Wernhoff.

Also Present: David Carse

The meeting came to order at approximately 7:10 PM.

Minutes: Submission of the minutes is way behind and Dale needs to get caught up to stay in compliance with Vermont’s Open Meeting Law.

Fall Outline for the Hinesburg Affordable Housing Committee:

David Carse Project – The project was approved by the Development Review Board. David is still interested in affordable housing but he’s not sure if it’s feasible. We’ll meet up with him later.

Bart Frisbee Project (Thistle Hill) – Bart is interested in affordable senior housing. Rocky will try to schedule him to give a presentation to the committee in November.

The CVOEO/UVM Report/Survey on the Mountain View Mobile Home Park is ready for a preliminary review. We’ll tentatively meet with them in October. They would like the AHC to partner with them.

We need to get going on a Housing Needs Assessment.

Alan Norris Project – Is it proceeding or on hold?

Saputo Cheese Factory property – Keep in touch with the Saputo Redevelopment Steering Committee to see if any thought has been given to affordable housing on this site.

The meeting was adjourned at approximately 8:05 PM.

Next Meeting – October 7th– Itinerary not discussed (other than above).
