Meeting Minutes

March 16, 2009

Members present: Will Patten, Scott Buckingham, Bill Schubart, Sarah Armstrong, Laura Carlsmith, Rolf Kielman

Guests: Alex Weinhagen, Director of Hinesburg Planning and Zoning, Carl Bohlen, Hinesburg Resident

Meeting convened at 5:40 PM.

1. Minutes from the prior meetings were not discussed. These minutes have been conveyed to the Town Website as is required. 

2. Group Discussion: recent committee member discussions with outside parties were reviewed and discussed. Several additional individuals and groups were identified and these will be approached by a member of our committee.   

3. Property owner: Discussion also focused on the next steps involved in beginning a conversation with the property owner. Hopefully this will happen in the near future.

4. Hinesburg Land Trust: as a non-profit, the Land Trust expressed interest in participating in the project. A member of the Land Trust may participate with the activities of the Saputo Redevelopment Steering Committee. 

5. Prospective Tenants: Discussion continued with regard to a running list of prospective tenants for the Saputo property. This list will be maintained/added to in the project data bank.

6. Grant sources: Various groups/firms to be identified as grant sources. Work continuing on this front. 

7. Design/Zoning Infrastructure Analysis: Possible design configurations and zoning information was discussed. Site infrastructure capacity discussed.

Meeting adjourned at 7:15 PM. Next meeting on Monday, March 30, 2009.
