TRAIL COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES

JANUARY 21, 2009

Present:  Lenore Budd, Colin McNaull, Martha Keenan, Frank Twarog and Stewart Pierson

NRG connector path progress

Due to wetland complexities, the connection between NRG and Commerce street will be a sidewalk on the east side of 116.  NRG suggests a 6 foot width and with asphalt.  DRB suggests 10 foot width and concrete.  This is now being negotiated.  The trail from NRG to CVU road is a mowed path which has been in place for a long time.  The bridge over Patrick Brook is the most complex part of this project.

Proposed new town map

This proposal includes an expansion of the village center a number of paths/trails.  These all look very interesting to the Trails Committee but could raise issues with property owners.
