Meeting Minutes

April 13, 2009

Members Present: George Dameron, Rolf Kielman, Aaron Kimball, Karla Munson, Dona Walker

Members Absent: Brian Busier and one seat vacant

Meeting called to order at 7:10 p.m. - Town Hall

1) Town clock. Karla will contact the Lions Club. She will get on the next meeting agenda.

2) Welcome to Hinesburg Signs. RK will research cost.

3) March 2009 VSC minutes approved.

4) Reviewed the Main Street Silver street intersection road and sidewalk project. Concern was expressed about making sure the side walk to the Norris condos be considered and built at the same time. Reviewing plans shows that trees are proposed for landscaping. Trees need to be of substantial size. RK will verbally follow up with Jeanne and/or Rocky about the Norris sidewalk.

5) Village Growth Plan hearing with Selectboard. VSC needs to continue to continue to be an advocate for to the Village area within this plan. 

6) Small parcel of land adjacent to Charlotte Road and catch basin need attention. Catch basin needs to be repaired. Plot of land needs to be landscaped.

7) Saputo update. RK gave VSC a Saputo Redevelopment Steering Committee update. RK will give VSC a copy of the SRSC vision statement.

8) History Project. Russ Berger photography.

9) VSC's $500 from the town to be used for signage.

10) AK to write an article for the record. What the VSC has been up to for the last year. What is to come.

11) VSC goals and mission statement discussion. How better to make improvements to the town, i.e landscaping, lighting, sidewalks, public amenities.
