Meeting Minutes

February 2, 2010

Committee Members Present: Rocky Martin, Carl Bohlen, Julie Pierson, Andrea Brainard, George Bedard, Bruce Wheeler, Dale Wernhoff.

The meeting came to order at approximately 7:05 PM.

Topics of Discussion: Various topics were touched on tonight, including:

Responses to our RFP – There were very few responses to our RFP for a Housing Needs Assessment. Fortunately the one from Peter Richardson and John Ryan seemed to suit our needs nicely. We will talk to Peter at our next meeting.

Town Plan Language – Alex Weinhagen (Hinesburg Director of Planning and Zoning) has requested the AHC come up with a short right-up/mission statement for the Town Plan. Carl has volunteered for the project. We will review his work at the next meeting.

Bart Frisbie Project – Carl emailed Molly Dugan and Amy Wright to see if they had any further talks with Bart about his project; no word yet (see 12/16/09 minutes for info).

Alan Norris Project – Alan is looking for sewer allocation and deciding on going for increased density under the new zoning regulations. He’s also weighing the pros and cons of proceeding with the project or just getting the required permits and then selling the land.

David Carse Project – No info/update; David needs to sell some current properties before proceeding.

Saputo Property – The town committee is still active and there has been some activity. There are a variety of uses being discussed for the property; housing is one of them.

The meeting was adjourned at approximately 8:10 PM.

Next Meeting –

March 3rd – Meet with Peter Richardson to discuss in depth his response to our RFP for a Housing Needs Assessment. Also review Carl’s write-up for the Town Plan.
