Meeting called to order at 7:15 p.m. - Town Hall
1. Jim Collins from the Hinesburg Lions Farmers Market / Lions Club spoke about the needs of the farmers market if it were to move to the lot behind the current police station. He provided the VSC with a prioritized wish list of needs for an ideal site. This list includes visibility, parking, water, and maintained grounds (partial list).
2. General discussion of the previous VSC co-meeting with the Recreation Commission.
3. Discussion of Commerce Park / Canal Park / open space land. This years focus for the VSC will be on the open spaces within the village. The Farmer's Market, Memorial Park, Commerce Park, Lot One at Creekside, The Canal, and the fields behind town hall.
4. Discussion of the vacant buildings across from the cabinet maker on Route 116. What is the status of the buildings? They appear to be vacant. Will they be renovated? Torn down? Left to fall down on their own? RK to have a conversation with Alex in Planning and Zoning Department about them.
5. Historical Walking tour update. Rough draft is complete. Goal is to have a draft done in time for July 4th celebrations.
6. Saputo update. Current temporary zoning to expire soon. Public meetings to be held soon on the subject. Saputo Committee to make their recommendations to the Select Board soon.
The VSC wishes the Committee Chair well on his pending world travels!
