VSC Members Present: Brian Busier, George Dameron, Rolf Kielman, Aaron Kimball, Dona Walker, Karla Munson, Jane Starkweather

VSC Members Absent: none

1. Hinesburg Village sign update. George brought the group up to date on the project. He shared with the group a sketch of the proposed sign and an estimate from Wood & Wood design. He brought us up-to-date with email exchanges with Bret Grabowski, Rocky Martin, and Wood & Wood. The current estimate is for one sign. It was agreed upon that we would double that and move forward with a two sign proposal; one at the North side of the village and the other at the South side of the village. Lantman's Market has made a significant financial contribution to this project. The group is in agreement that we should move forward with project. Next step is to get a detailed sketch to Bret G and the Selectboard for their approval.

2) Village Historic Tour Status. The tour is done. George shared with the group the walking tour brochure and tour notes. It is the intent of the VSC to now hand off the tour and materials to the Hinesburg Historical Society with the hope that they will become the stewards of this project. The next VSC will include a real-time tour of the Village.

3) Saputo status-Interim Zoning and Saputo recommendations. Rolf shared with the group a recent memo from Alex in Planning and Zoning about the Saputo site, as well as proposed interim zoning regulations for the site. Discussion about flood plan regulations and zoning for the area. A formal letter will be written and forwarded to the Selectboard with VSC concerns and recommendations.

5) Lot 1 Committee update. Aaron advised the group of the Lot 1 Committee's recent conversations. The committee favors moving forward with developing the space as a planned town green. This would become the primary site for the farmer's market, and would possibly include a small playground, a CCTA bus stop, a park-and-ride lot, and an expanded fire station building that would also house the police department.

Meeting adjourned at 8:22 p.m.
