Paying for Paxlovid (if insurance will not).

There's a lot of confusion about Paxlovid, the effective and underused Covid anti-viral, and who pays for it (it shouldn't be you). A five day course without insurance is now $1400. However, because of a special program called Paxaccess http://paxlovid.iassist.com you should be able to get it for free and as many times as you need it (hopefully not!) All the large chains participate in this program, including CVS and Walgreens. The only catch is you have to start with a prescription before you can sign up. Your insurance may already cover the Rx but, if not, the few minutes signing up will eliminate possible sticker shock otherwise.
